Got these to light up my porch area a little without having to use my porch light near the door which always attracts bugs. Was pleasantly surprised these lights were brighter than expected. They don’t light up the nights sky but certainly create a nice atmosphere and are plenty light enough for porch sitting.

These put our just enough light to get around without having to navigate in darkness, but not enough to be overly intrusive or too bright. They can be used on stairs, just place then to the outside edges of each step to not interfere with walking up or down the stairs. But they are even cooler on the rails of any deck casting gentle illumination downward, again just enough to navigate safely but not bright enough to be overly intrusive. For full illumination you will need to use other lighting, like overhead, bulb strings, porch lights and the like. Sometimes a little light is all you need, but if you are seeking proper illumination of an entire deck area these are less than adequate.They can be applied using a doubled-sided adhesive strip underneath the solar cell area, but I am not sure how long that will work in harsh outdoor environments. Here in Central New York State, we get pretty harsh winters, and I prefer to mount them using screws into the handrail around the deck area. The come with enough screws and drywall-style anchors to mount them all with screws for permanent installation.They are powered with a 1.2V 200 mAHr NiMH AAA battery. I was not able to find them at Amazon with a cursory look, but saw many 400 mAHr batteries available, just not sure if you can substitute them. The AAA NiMH batteries seem to sell for about $1 each and the instruction explain how to replace the battery when needed.Be cautious, I already broke off a red wire to one end of the battery holder pulling one apart to see how easy it will be to replace batteries when the time comes. Fortunately, I am capable of re-soldering that wire back on! Be somewhat gentle if you try to replace the batteries. If you take your time, there is a way to open the thing by removing two small screws on the underside of the device. It is not that hard to figure out how to remove the battery without breaking the small wires. It is good to know that you can replace the battery when needed to extend the life of the device.

These outdoor solar lights are amazing! I love the amount of light they put out. Since they are powered by the sun, there is no need for cords and they are still bright and inconsistent. Great for our yard!! They are very versatile, but we are using these in our flower beds out front.These came fully assembled and ready to install. They came packaged very well and shipped quickly. I love the way they look!So far they’re holding up very well and seem to have a decent illumination life. These are cheaply made small plastic lights. They are very small, about 3 inches wide.They put out a small amount of light that is more decorative than anything else. In other words do not rely on these to brighten the area. They come with mounting screws. The manual states they can be installed with “adhesive” as a temporary solution but they do not come with any adhesives

Taking points off for using words like “warm lighting” yet saying it is for enhanced lighting and safety. This sentence here is overkill as to what is delivered: “Wide Use: Perfect for lighting up stairs, pathways, gardens, decks, front doors, backyards, driveways, garages, and outdoor walls. These solar fence lights offer widespread use for enhanced outdoor visibility and safety.”These are NOT bright.The illumination color is YELLOW not white. The 2nd photo/slide calls them “warm white step light”. The color for a fact is YELLOW. I have many solar lights around my yard, all are White and Bright. The effort to install is does not warrant the brightness provided.The brightness is LOW.You would have to place them inches apart from one another for enough illumination.If wanting to light up a walkway or have safety on steps – then go with something brighter.This should be described as “mood” lighting or “atmosphere” lighting.I attached mine with zip ties attached to an iron rod fence.

Wow I really didn’t know how these solar powered deck lights were going to be when I first saw them on Amazon but after receiving them let me say seeing is believing! They are so pretty!Now don’t misunderstand me they’re not gonna light up your deck or porch like a landing strip at the local airport no they’re not that bright! But they are enough light to be able to light up deck railings or stairs or around a patio, these would even be great for a handicap ramp as they would give off enough light to see where you’re walking or rolling whatever the case may be!I’m gonna use them for my back deck stairs as it’s really dark and hard to see if the deck light is not on. These will definitely do the job for that purpose and they look so pretty that I’m thinking about ordering more to do my entire back deck railings! They will be so pretty to look at while sitting out on the back deck at night enjoying the peace and quiet and still be able to look up at the stars but have these soft glowing lights surrounding us!They do come with adhesives and hardware needed to mount them and we are going with the metal h screws for longer lasting weather wear! My above picture is just two of them that have not been installed yet but I wanted to show how pretty they are for this review! You can see from the daytime photo how they are to be installed correctly so they can recharge during the day and shine ever so lovely at night!I really love these little solar powered deck lights and I would definitely order them again as they do their job by not overwhelming my deck/stairs with too harsh or too bright light coverage but just really soft warm light or as my little Grand said they look like big fireflies! lol!They’re really pretty and I luv’em! Toodles!

My deck has overhead wooden rafters that I will mount these lights to. Super easy, just screw into the rafters, that’s it. No switches or controls – it just turns on when the solar panel stops charging. Sometimes after a cookout, we are sitting on the deck just conversing and relaxing. This unit provides enough light to see what you are doing without being a distraction or changing the mood. The LED is a low consumption unit and requires so little energy that even a cloudy charge lasts for hours. The light is a bit yellow for my tastes but the 20-pack is at a price I can’t argue with.If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review. These Solar Deck Lights are definitely smaller than I thought they’d be and I was hoping to use them to illuminate my deck a bit from the railing, but they’re too small and the light isn’t strong enough to reach that far. Instead, I repurposed them on the deck stairs and they work great. Since there are only 4 of them, I just have them every four steps since my deck is on a second story. While they don’t help illuminate the whole staircase, the lit steps give it a nice interval of light. Honestly, for the price I might as well have just gotten the sixteen-pack, but I might just get another four-pack and light every other step.As for the quality, these feel nice and sturdy considering how small they are. I don’t suspect I’ll get more than a few seasons out of these with the sun hitting them all summer, but time will tell. They mounted well and the solar components seem to charge them for at least 6-8 hours. Since these are mounted with adhesive, I imagine they will eventually need to be remounted when dried out or kicked off. For the price, I’m happy to see them last 2-3 seasons.

These solar deck lights are fairly small and super easy to place wherever desired. They have a very good overall appearance, look quite modern, and the illumination is quite strong considering their size. They take approximately 4 hours to turn off, and in terms of charging, they seem fairly good with the amount of charge they hold. Perhaps they haven’t received very good sunlight to charge more; for now, I understand that 4 hours is the maximum they have stayed on. Something to mention is that the solar panel of some of these lights had scratches.They look good and work well. I believe they are a good investment.

Ordered these at full price, they are currently 50% off. At full price they are a decent deal. At half off, they are a really good deal. Hardware included. Easy to use. They are small, so they are barely noticeable. Easy to hide. The light color is very yellow. Added to a few spots around my deck for ambiance. Nice little lights.
