As a busy family always on-the-go, we rely heavily on our Brita XL water filter dispenser as an easy way to enjoy clean, fresh tasting water. With just one touch of a button, this appliance delivers perfectly filtered water that’s free of unwanted tastes and odors found in our unfiltered tap water.Installing the Brita water filter was incredibly simple – no tools or complicated parts to contend with. The filters slot easily into the top container lid with a reassuring click. Thanks to the electronic filter replacement indicator, we always know exactly when it’s time to swap in a new filter as well.In terms of filtration performance, this extra large Brita dispenser is top-notch. It reduces an astonishing 99% of common water impurities like chlorine, sediment, copper, mercury, cadmium, and more. No matter what pollutants and minerals get into municipal water supplies, Brita filters trap them. What’s most noticeable after filtering though is the taste! Our tap water has an unpleasant chemical flavor, but water from the XL Brita is always refreshing and crisp. From glasses of water to morning coffee and tea, everything just tastes better thanks to significantly reduced impurities. Even our ice cubes are finally crystal clear without any weird odors or filmy residue. With an 18 cup water tank, electronic filter indicator, and effortless one-touch dispensing, this dependable Brita appliance makes enjoying cleaner, fresher water a breeze for my busy family. Being a responsible consumer who is conscious about reducing plastic waste, I made the decision to go for the Brita UltraMax Large Water Dispenser with Elite Filter, and I must say, it has proven to be an excellent choice. This dispenser fits perfectly in my refrigerator, and the spigot for pouring water is so precise that filling glasses has become effortless. I truly appreciate the enhanced taste of water that is now free from chlorine after going through the filtration process. Moreover, the fact that it effectively removes contaminants like lead and mercury gives me peace of mind. However, my only minor complaint is the placement of the filter replacement indicator, which is positioned backward on the container, making it slightly less intuitive to check. Nevertheless, considering its positive impact on the environment and its consistent performance, I would confidently give this Brita dispenser a solid four-star rating.

I have very hard water that has an intense chlorine smell & taste. I can smell the chlorine the moment I turn the faucet on.I got this hoping to help with that problem after spending days researching filters and it has exceeded my expectations. The smell of chlorine and odd taste are completely gone after being filtered. The filters last a long time, the container will tell you when it needs to be replaced and they fit well in my refrigerator. The tap doesn’t leak at all and I’ve never had any issues after over a year. The first time I changed the filter I thought it broke because I couldn’t get the filter to stay in place for the life of me.. so I ordered a new one. After it came I realized there is a notch in the filter and a notch on the inside of the container that need to match up for the filter to stay in place. Duh!I still kept the second that I ordered because I love them that much.I highly recommend purchasing this filter. I have zero complaints!

I’ve had similar Brita filters before so I knew exactly what I was getting. No real reason to drink straight tap water when you can just get one of these. Only complaint I have is the “elite” filter crapped out 3 months into it’s 6 months life, as it barely lets any water past and takes forever to fill up. But the pitcher itself works as intended, so definitely get it. Maybe I just got a crappy filter 🤷🏼♂️

I recently purchased the Brita XL Water Filter Dispenser with 1 Elite Filter, and I couldn’t be more delighted with this product. It has completely transformed my daily water consumption routine, and I’m thrilled to share my positive review.First and foremost, the convenience and capacity of this dispenser are outstanding. With its 27-cup capacity, I no longer have to constantly refill my water pitcher or glass. It’s perfect for a household like mine, where hydration is a top priority. The large capacity means fewer refills and more time enjoying clean, filtered water. The Brita XL dispenser’s design is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The sleek black color and modern design make it a stylish addition to my kitchen. It’s compact enough to fit in the fridge without taking up too much space, yet large enough to ensure that I always have filtered water readily available. The included Elite Filter is a game-changer. It’s incredibly effective at reducing contaminants, including lead, which is a concern for many households. I appreciate the peace of mind knowing that my family is drinking water that meets high-quality standards. The filter’s longevity is impressive as well; it lasts up to 6 months, which is both cost-effective and convenient.Refilling the dispenser is a breeze, and the spigot is well-designed for easy pouring without any spills or drips. The lid securely locks in place, ensuring that the water stays clean and fresh. Moreover, the Brita XL Water Filter Dispenser is BPA-free, which is an essential consideration for my family’s health and safety. It’s clear that Brita prioritizes not only water quality but also user well-being.In terms of value for money, this product is a fantastic investment. It provides access to clean and great-tasting water, which encourages my family to stay hydrated. Plus, the savings on bottled water are substantial over time.In conclusion, the Brita XL Water Filter Dispenser has exceeded my expectations in every way. Its capacity, design, and the effectiveness of the Elite Filter make it an indispensable addition to my kitchen. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a convenient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly solution for enjoying clean, filtered water at home. It’s a game-changer that has made a positive impact on my family’s hydration habits.

Bought a brita a few months ago on sale and used it with no issue. Getting used to the taste of filtered water admittedly took a day. Went to refill my brita before work and, in my grogginess, I somehow managed to drop it and killed the brita. Immediately bought another one because I will no longer drink tap or bottled water. Unfortunately this time it wasnt on sell but it was well worth the money! Takes about 5 minutes to filter the entire dispenser. Doesnt take up too much room but if you have a small fridge or a lot of food packed in your fridge, you might not want to get the dispenser. Aside from my butter fingers bringing an untimely end to my previous brita, both ones I ordered were good quality. Initally not as bulky as I expected but after having used one for a few months, I’m glad it wasnt

Purchased from Amazon. Package shippped fine, but the LED indicators for filter lifespan do not work at all as if the battery is already broken, and the plastic wrap/seal around the container inside of the box was torn in some places, and the filter was not fully vacuum sealed. Not sure what happened, but this isn’t the quality of products I have generall expected from Brita in the past. Requesting a replacement of at least the black top with the LED indicators for filter replacement.

If your water is rushing through the filter, it’s not on correctly. The instructions didn’t stress the importance of aligning the filter properly, and there weren’t any illustrations. I looked at Q&As here to investigate and it turns out, there is a proper way to align the filter. It’s like a puzzle that has to line up, when it’s right, the filter is a bit sunken in and the water doesn’t rush and filter super fast. When the filter is properly in place, the filtration is still surprisingly fast, a big improvement over the orginial. Don’t forget to toss out the first batch of filtered water (they suggest using it to water plants).Does anyone know how the filter replacement sensor counts the usage? I am still confused on this aspect.I will update the review if any other issues arise.

At one point, I wasn’t sure it would fit the top rack of the fridge, but that was because a nobby thing in the fridge. I managed to get it in there.Quickly arrived, vs last week when I ordered the same and it was “lost.” The tap is slower vs a pitcher, which is not a big surprise. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the filter indicator suggests I’m using a regular Brita filter, while I’m using one of the Elite filters. If someone can explain why this is happening, I might change my review.
