These grommets are sturdy, clean, and easier than I thought to install. Make sure you put a piece of cardboard down though when you’re punching the holes. I scratched a tile on my counter because I forgot to do this.Great value, and the tool included works well and cleanly.

Great price. I needed to add grommets to a couple of cotton fabric mandala tapestry pieces. It worked alright. I used a wooden block underneath as recommended for the the hole cutting. That piece worked for just the first 2-3 holes and bent in so that piece was useless. I had to use scissors to cut out a small hole in fabric for each grommet. The grommets aren’t that high quality but work great for basic needs. They stay on well. Im going to have to buy some nicer finished grommets for clothes, jewelry or anything where the look of the grommet really matters. Grommets come in silver color & in gold color, which is nice. The pliers-looking part feels nice & sturdy. Easy to hold grip & easy to squeeze unlike some of the bigger bulkier types. It’s not heavy or uncomfortable to use, so a plus on ease of use.

This kit is great. Yes, the grommets are on the lighter-duty side, but they still work great. I put a series of grommets into my acoustic blankets that I use in my sound studio so I could hang them.As long as you use the hole punch to start your holes, you’ll have no problems. You cannot skip the hole punch (unless you’re punching paper or cardboard). The grommets aren’t heavy duty enough to be the hole punch AND the grommet. I got 20 grommets installed in about 10 minutes. Punch the hole, line up the grommet pieces, clamp with the tool (very little effort needed) and you’re done. Looks like they were done in the factory. I had one fail because I tried to skip the hole punch. After I used the hole punch, every grommet pressed perfectly.

The grommets are very very thin, but the worst part is the poor alignment on the pliers. They’re either super soft and bent while I was installing the first grommet or they were out of alignment when I got them, but they don’t make very good contact and make it difficult to install the grommets properly. I end up having to finish up with a little hammer.

Read the instructions. Put the grommet in the correct way, there is a picture included. DO NOT squeeze the handle too hard, they pliers will bend, the instructions say this as well.

This works well enough. Because of how they make contact as you squeeze. The section closest to the handle contact first. If you apply full pressure, you’ll notice that location is pressed and deformed a bit. You can start by applying light pressure to start. Then rotate the tool on the grommet to evenly distribute pressure on all sides. It finishes the job good that way.

This tool did exactly what I needed it to do. Punching holes through the canvas was a little tougher than I thought it would be, but the tool included is meant for leather. It still worked.
