Several people have already asked “Where did you guys get these wooden walkways?” Sturdy, easy to install and roll up if you want. Sure, they fade and get weathered from rain, snow, and being left out in the elements; but that makes them look even better, IMO. Very satisfied!

Make a beautiful pathway

I use this wooden path to access my bird feeder over large plant roots and overgrowth. It does well. Even when wet, I don’t sense it’s slippery. Before the wooden path I was tripping over plants now it’s a smoother walk.

I’ve had this for 1 1/2 years. The plastic tubing that holds the slats together has completely disintegrated, and this is almost completely in the shade. The wooden slats are fine. What I did was to buy 100’ of steel cable for $8 and restring the unit. Now it’ll last for years and years.

So our large breed dog was running a mud-path along our landscape to come indoors. We tried using this rolled up walkway and she loved it! Even playing catch in the backyard, she generally will return the ball back to us via her “runway”. I ended up buying a few more to frame out the yard separating a gravel patio and the grass between our 2 back entrances. We can roll it up to avoid NE Ohio’s harsh winter if we want, but likely will keep intact. The curved section definitely requires landscaping pins, it just does not match up 100% to the edge of the straight path. And with the dog running to catch a ball in the yard, I am CONSTANTLY needing to re-line this up. Am moving it elsewhere. Eh, pricey stuff here, but the cedar smells great!

This is an attractive product, and we used it to make a path across our back patio to the spa (hot tub), which use is most important in the winter to avoid ice when you trek from inside the house to the tub. (You can make beautiful ice-prints on concrete with your bare feet as you leave the spa, but they are not much appreciated by the next user). The rubber cord that connects the slats predictably lasted only one winter. I replaced it with plastic-coated stainless steel cables, using the spacers that came with the product, though I had to find a few to replace lost ones. I did it in such a way that the wood path now has loops at both ends that make it easier to move. I also stained the slats to give them more durability against our harsh Colorado weather, but that was just a bonus. We’re ready for winter 2024-25!
